Why Should I Worry?

I can’t believe it’s been 23 years.  Sometimes it seems like ages…and sometimes it seems like yesterday.  On January 14, 1990, my dad passed away.  It was very sudden and needless to say, very hard.  I remember being in sort of a fog.  My world had stopped, while everyone else’s had continued to move.  On the morning of my dad’s memorial service here in Fairfax, VA, I remember very vividly the scripture the Lord gave me in my devotions that day.  Matthew 6:34, “Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”  Now 23 years later, the scripture I heard a TV preacher use this morning was the same one!  God is still reminding me not to worry about tomorrow…tomorrow will take care of itself.  I can’t do anything about tomorrow; it isn't here yet.  He can only give me grace for today, not tomorrow!  I’m a living testimony that God has taken care of me and provided for my needs and He will continue to do so.  God is so faithful and His word NEVER changes!!

If God can clothe the lilies of the field and feed the birds of the air, why can’t we put more trust in Him to take care of us?  He cares for you and me most of all!!
